According to a new report from Javelin Strategy and Research, Gen Y might just be like their parents when it comes to ’showing them the money.’ When it comes to using credit cards, customer service is extremely important. BUT, they do differ in how they use online banking. (I just started using Quicken Online not  only because I worked on the product, but also because of its online banking capabilities.

So financial institutions need to balance online and physical world offerings and service to Gen Y. This is in line with what we read about during the holiday season when many Gen Yers did their research online, but purchased offline.

So don’t think Gen Y is just an online-only generation.
